Job Details

The Accounting Manager is responsible for reviewing account reconciliations, reviewing fixed asset and lease transactions, assisting in consolidation, preparing accounting analysis and financial reports, assisting with audits and preparing external reporting filings.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for aspects of the month end close process including, goodwill and intangible assets, complex accruals, lease accounting, fixed assets oversight etc.
  • Responsible for the review of account reconciliations.
  • Liason between consolidation team and external reporting on identified issues covering purchase accounting, liquidation and complex accounting transactions.
  • Coordinate with IT dept to set up acquired, liquidated and/or divested entities in consolidation.
  • Collaborate with Tax team to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and manage intercompany pricelists to ensure properly intercompany eliminations.
  • Assist in the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K and other SEC filings, including financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A and XBRL to ensure timing and accurate filings. 
  • Preparation of equity rollforward.
  • Coordinate the completion of the month end balance sheet package for management for the corporate entity.
  • Engage with external auditors with respect to quarterly and annual request lists.
  • Continually identify potential opportunities for automation using tools such as Oracle

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 4+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Audit experience in a Big 4 or similar public accounting firm preferred
  • CPA Preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 required
  • Experience using Oracle
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of products required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Ability to understand how work impacts broader organization strategic priorities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
