We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to work within the BDUK Vertical Lift Operations Team in the delivery of Chinook and Apache Base Maintenance and Modification upgrades at Middle Wallop. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager.

The MRO Maintenance Coordinator role, provides ownership and accountability of all pre-input readiness activity for each Maintenance Input, Repair or Modification by leading the Pre-input phase of the planning cycle for the MRO control team and to develop, maintain and execute maintenance schedules in accordance with the Part 145 regulations.
Responsibilities
- Experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft/component and
- suitably trained/authorised on the aircraft type or component type being worked.
- An excellent communicator, with a demonstrable ability to communicate and understand the
- technical work requirements of the team in order that key business targets are met.
- Proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP)
- Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management
- System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of
- accountability, responsibility and authority
- Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or
- associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP’s), to provide guidance and support to the
- teams working on the aircraft or in the production of Work orders
- Capable of working and communicating within management levels, cross functional areas and
- the customer effectively
- Capable and experienced in sequencing and controlling demanding workloads, on time, to
- budget and to the required standard
- Capable of understanding the flow of work in a production environment and load vs capacity for
- the operation environment to enable production of schedules of work and production plans.
- Proven knowledge of the air system scheduled maintenance to enable effective Review,
- acceptance and rejection of SoW, AWRs, deferred work etc at the pre-input phase.

The MRO Maintenance Coordinator, is Accountable to the Operations Manager/s for:
- Supporting the MRO Control team with a precise maintenance schedule/plan which is pre-engineered considering load vs capacity for each maintenance input, major repair or modification programme.
- Collaborating with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to plan and coordinate all
- aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
- Ensuring they and their team/s adhere to national and local Environmental, Health and Safety
- requirements and in accordance with company policy to ensure their own and the team’s safety

- For ensuring that due consideration is given to the potential adverse effects that Human Factors
- can have on the tasks undertaken
- Ensuring that shortfalls of resource at the pre-input phase are highlighted to the Operations
- Manager/s, without delay, with due consideration to HF implications
- Ensuring and demonstrating that all pre-input readiness activity is completed before the
- maintenance execution phase is started.
- To sequence the workload considering SMI, SoW, AWRs, deferred work and base scheduled
- maintenance inputs.
- Production of milestone plans for the operations team to follow in the execution phase of
- maintenance to allow for accurate tracking of maintenance input.
- Ownership of the planned maintenance events within 90 calendar days.
- For working cross functionally within the maintenance planning and control team to support
- maintenance staff to work effectively and efficiently on the air system.
- For ensuring schedule milestones and on time completion of work is achieved, or impacts/issues
- escalated to the Operations manager/s
- Ensuring all their personal accountabilities, responsibilities and authorities are met, in order to
- deliver first time quality
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification, with demonstrable experience of leading teams in an aerospace environment. Chinook experience is desirable.
- Have the ability to gain the required experience/competencies to gain 3rd signature authority.
- A good communicator, technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.
- Demonstrable and proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of accountability, responsibility and authority
- Capable of providing leadership to their team/s, in order to maintain a scheduled plan, the sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on time completion, to budget and to the required standard
- Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP’s), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary.
Work Authorisation: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which the Government requires UK Citizenship.
