Position Overview
Lead comprehensive project planning and scheduling activities for the complex two-stage procurement Podium Plaza transformation, coordinating multiple work streams across design, procurement, and construction phases while ensuring zero disruption to existing building operations and seamless integration with Cairo Festival City's operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Master Programme Development: Create and maintain integrated project master schedule incorporating design stages, procurement milestones, contractor mobilization, Construction
  • Coordinate and integrate schedules from international consultants, AOR, cost consultants, contractor teams, and authority approval processes into unified project timeline
  • Multi-Stakeholder Schedule Integration: Identify, monitor, and manage critical path activities across all project phases, implementing recovery strategies to maintain construction start date and overall project completion targets
  • Critical Path Management: Plan and schedule contractor early involvement activities including site assessment, design reviews, procurement packages, and value engineering workshops to support timely GMP development
  • Early Works Coordination: Develop detailed schedules for permit approval processes (NUCA, Municipality, Civil Defense, TAQA) and coordinate with design team to ensure timely submissions and approvals
  • Authority Approval Scheduling: Coordinate resource deployment schedules across all consultant teams and contractors, ensuring optimal resource utilization while maintaining project momentum
  • Resource Planning: Develop contingency plans and float management strategies to address potential delays while protecting critical milestones and maintaining existing building operations
  • Risk-Based Scheduling: Conduct weekly progress reviews with all stakeholders, analyze schedule performance using SPI/CPI metrics, and prepare detailed progress reports for Employer and project team
  • Progress Monitoring: Prepare rolling 30-day look-ahead schedules detailing critical activities, resource requirements, and stakeholder dependencies for proactive project coordination
  • Look-Ahead Planning: Plan and coordinate interfaces between existing building operations, new construction activities, and tenant requirements to ensure zero disruption to ongoing business operations
  • Interface Management: Align procurement schedules for long-lead items and early packages with design delivery and contractor mobilization requirements
  • Procurement Schedule Coordination: Analyze schedule impacts of design changes, scope modifications, and authority requirements, providing time impact analysis using recognized delay analysis methodologies
  • Change Impact Assessment


Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Primavera P6 preferred

Experience:

  • 7-10 years in construction planning for complex mixed-use developments
  • Proven experience with multi-phase, multi-contractor project coordination
  • Track record with operational building renovations and tenant coordination
  • Experience with Egyptian construction market and authority approval processes

Technical Skills:

  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Advanced knowledge of CPM scheduling methodologies
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and logistics planning
  • Knowledge of delay analysis techniques (TIA, Windows Analysis, Collapsed As-Built)

Software Proficiency:

  • Primavera P6 (Advanced)
  • MS Project Professional
  • Power BI or similar analytics tools
  • Advanced Excel 
  • Project reporting and visualization tools
