The Fin Solutions Sr Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.

Head of Regulatory Capital RWA Risk Stripe Engagement (C15)
This role is with the Risk & Controls (R&C) team within the Global Financial Control group in Controllers. The R&C team is responsible for developing and enhancing control environment for the Capital Controllers Group to improve efficiency, transparency and control, as well as, ensure alignment with Citi standards and compliance with key regulatory requirements. The R&C team (i) ensures that deliverables of the Capital Controllers Group are progressing in line with established due dates; (ii) drives accountability and transparency of key Basel / Spot Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) processes and remediation efforts; (iii) enables proactive management and escalation of issues; (iv) prepares for reviews including regulatory exams and executes on key regulatory deliverables, and (v) interfaces with key stakeholders including Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk and other control functions.
As Head of Regulatory Capital RWA Risk Stripe Engagement, this role will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of risk stripe specific governance engagement. This role will manage a team that provides governance coverage for RWA related to Market Risk and Credit Risk (including Securitization, Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), Derivatives and Securities Financing Transactions (DSFT), Wholesale, Retail, Equities). Risk stripe engagement leads are responsible for: a) providing transparency on RWA risk stripe remediation efforts and issue management; b) coordination of internal review function interaction i.e. Internal Audit and Second Line of Defense (2LOD) reviews; c) reasonableness reviews of risk stripe documentation.
This role offers the opportunity to interact with senior management within the Capital Controllers Group & broader Controllers leadership. This role will also collaborate with key partners outside of Capital Controllers Group, including Business (ICG and GCB), EI O&T, FRSS, Risk Management, Compliance and Internal Audit teams.
This role will report to the Risk & Control Lead for Reg Reporting & Capital
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team responsible for strengthening the governance and control environment for Spot RWA related to
Market Risk and Credit Risk (including Securitization, Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), Derivatives and Securities Financing
Transactions (DSFT), Wholesale, Retail, Equities).
• Drive transparency and accountability for issue management and Basel remediation efforts related to specific RWA risk stripes.
• Act as single point of contact in leading the risk stripe specific interactions with Internal Audit and other internal review functions.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory submissions related to RWA risk stripes.
• Ensure reasonableness and consistency across documentation of processes related to RWA risk stripes.
• Develop concise presentation materials on RWA risk stripe governance topics for communication to senior audiences.
• Partner with key stakeholders within the Capital Controllers Group.
Build partnerships with stakeholders outside of Treasury Capital Planning, including Business (ICG and GCB), EI O&T, FRSS, Risk Management, Compliance and Internal Audit teams.
• Continuously drive team to build subject matter expertise related to Basel rules and act as a partner in the execution and completion of regulatory requirements.
•Drive program management and project execution by creating and managing project plans and leading working groups.
• Identify issues and risks, and escalate as necessary.
Qualifications
• Strong background in financial services with understanding of Institutional banking / capital markets businesses and products.
• Demonstrable experience in governance and control aspects. Audit background recommended.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written presentation skills.
• An “ownership” and “problem solving” mindset.
• Ability to synthesize and distill complex ideas into concise materials for senior audiences.
• Ability to bring an independent point to view and willingness to challenge the status quo.
• Ability to collaborate and drive consensus across different teams of stakeholders.
• 12+ years of demonstrable experience in driving results
• An undergraduate degree is required. Masters degree is preferred.
