Summary of Internship 

This internship provides hands-on experience in Business and Portfolio Service Management within a pharmaceutical services environment. The role focuses on supporting client relationships, coordinating technical activities, and contributing to business growth and performance tracking. 

 

Internship Opportunities to Build Competence in Key Areas 

Client Experience & Relationship Management 
Support client engagements and account management activities to ensure alignment between client expectations and organizational priorities. Contribute to service excellence by coordinating communications, tracking deliverables, and helping resolve operational challenges. 

Portfolio Business Management  
Assist in identifying growth opportunities by leveraging existing client relationships. Collaborate with commercial teams to support business expansion initiatives and promote organizational capabilities. 

Technical & Operational Excellence 
Gain exposure to technology transfer processes and product lifecycle activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Operational Excellence projects, aimed at enhancing efficiency and quality. 

Financial & Forecast Awareness 
Develop an understanding of revenue forecasting, budgeting, and contract alignment. Collaborate with internal teams to support data accuracy and contribute to business planning activities. 

GMP & Health and Safety Compliance 
Learn and support compliance with cGMP standards and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements, contributing to a safe and compliant working environment. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Support client relationship activities, including communication coordination and issue tracking 

  • Assist in identifying and analyzing potential business opportunities 

  • Contribute to the coordination of technical projects and process improvement initiatives 

  • Support forecasting and reporting activities in collaboration with finance and commercial teams 

  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and operational teams 

  • Assist in maintaining documentation aligned with quality and compliance standards 

  • Learn and apply GMP and EH&S principles in daily activities 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and third parties 

  • Actively seek feedback and demonstrate continuous learning and improvement 

 

Qualifications 

  • Student currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills 

  • Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 

  • Interest or basic knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing or outsourcing is a plus 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment 

  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic setting
