What you will do

The role will be working in the Global Marine & Navy Fire Team based in Manchester managing Fixed Fire protection projects on military vessels for Navy’s worldwide.

How you will do it

  • Understanding and interpreting client’s technical specifications and commercial documentation.

  • Organising any deliverable packages.

  • Consulting with design manager and requesting resourcing based on contract deliverables.

  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and procurement of equipment.

  • Organising of goods to be shipped and generation of all relevant shipping documentation.

  • Consulting with project team on a daily basis

  • Managing the contract/project plan (MS Project)

  • Consulting directly with the customer and being the main point of contract

  • Financially responsibility for projects / Developing progress and financial reports for the Tyco management team; Revenue/Billing Forecasts, Managing Contract cost Control (Cost to Complete Sheet), Attending internal contract review meetings monthly.

  • Ensuring that projects are brought to conclusion on time within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Managing the contract/project plan (MS Project)

  • There will be some travel in the UK, but Overseas travel may be required from time to time.

What we look for

Essential

  • Experience in Project Management

  • Excellent communication skills - Consulting directly with the client and internal project team.

  • Experience in interpreting clients’ technical specifications

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

  • Full UK Diving License.

  • SC UK MOD Security clearance will be required, screening provided by JCI.

Preferred

  • Project Management Qualification

  • HNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background)

  • Experience in the Marine Industry

  • Experience with MoD contracts

  • Experience in the Fire Protection or Fire Detection industry – Fire Role

  • Experience in HVAC/Chilled Water Plant Industry – HVAC Role
