Our Syncrude Turnaround team is looking for experienced maintenance personnel to join their planning team!
Key Accountabilities:
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for ongoing planning / scheduling activities
- Prepare job plans to include the logical sequencing of associated tasks, taking into account multi-craft alignment
- Maximize and improve resource productivity by identifying and coordinating the supply of parts, materials, special tools, external services and rental equipment while preparing relevant documentation
- Prepare job plans with the planned cost ready for scheduling detailing parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation
- Identify environmental, health and safety requirements
- Maintain and continuously improve job plans and task lists
- Receive input to update and maintain project schedules, at all levels.
- Ensure data is being gathered in a correct format that supports project closeout and benchmarking.
- Update and maintains projects schedules for all phases of a project
- Work with TA Execution Supervisor to optimize work preparation during Turnarounds
- Ensure all work scopes are planned
- Make decisions and recommendations within authorized limits prescribed by supervisor or policy
- Must be able to identify adverse cost conditions from collected data and report it
- Exercise judgment and initiative in the analysis of data obtained from a variety of sources
- Moderate to complex decision making required; guided by polices & procedures
- Work with a wide variety of people: peers, managers, contractors; vendors etc.
- Apply OEMS practices to all maintenance related operations, and ensure compliance to Suncor standards of safety, and operating integrity
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of planning experience/scheduling; maintenance and/or reliability experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Mechanical Millwright trade or Electrical/Dual ticketed certificates or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical and operational experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP) and material management systems
- Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices, performances measures, scheduling tools and techniques
- You are a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to make decisions with integrity and support company objectives and policies
- You constantly interact with others across a multitude of business units and effectively communicate with them to develop positive working relationships
- Knowledge of PS&E process, procedures and tools
- You continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace, in order to understand not just what you do but why you do it
- Strong planning, organizational and critical thinking skills required
- Demonstrates commitment to EH&S culture that supports a safe working environment
Location and Other Key Details:
- These roles are located at our Syncrude Mildred Lake Location in Fort McMurray, AB
- This is a Monday - Friday 40 hour a week schedule with extra time required based on business need
- We are hiring for both Mechanical and Electrical planners at this time
