We are looking for a Regional Marketing and Event Specialist to join our team in New York. Protiviti works in a hybrid environment and this role requires that you work in-person in our office several times per week.
As a Regional Marketing and Event Specialist, you will build an integrated marketing plan and execute all marketing initiatives for the New York, Boston and Philadelphia markets. The goal of our in-market marketing initiatives is to drive engagement for our clients and to generate business development in our key focus areas.
Produce local regional in-person and virtual buyer-level events for the purpose of solution selling, cross-selling, nurturing relationships and creating value-add for our clients.
Manage the sponsorship and activation of professional organization and trade association chapter marketing.
Partner with Global Solution, Industry and Brand Marketing teams to activate activities in the local market and provide business development opportunities for the local practice.
Partner with the local leadership team and practice solution and industry leads on event and business development strategy and goals for your market.
Act as the marketing local point of contact for your markets, providing marketing guidance on relevant tools and materials available as well as content and business development information.
Present marketing updates on local leadership, solution or industry town hall office meetings to better enable and equip the practice to leverage our marketing program for their business development.
Actively leverage marketing technologies to track, manage and analyze the effectiveness of your marketing initiatives.
Seek new opportunities to deepen existing relationships with clients and grow Protiviti’s influence with our targets.
Lead and/or support various other marketing initiatives to continue to improve and innovate our larger marketing and communications program.
Impeccable project management skills — very organized, extremely detailed oriented, and able to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
A strong understanding of event management and experiential marketing with a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment where flexibility is required.
Being a self-starter and quick learner who operates autonomously in a fast-paced industry while effectively collaborating and building strong relationships with all levels of a highly matrixed organization.
Time management and the ability to work on several initiatives at the same time, being able to prioritize their important and urgency.
A proven track record of being a creative, strategic, and analytical thinker who solves problems.
A desire for a long-term career with multiple opportunities for growth within the organization.
The business savviness and confidence to present in large management meetings, to local/regional leadership and clients.
Excellent budget management skills and the ability to negotiate with various venues, vendors and organizations.
The ability to collect data and feedback to report on the success of your initiatives and how to improve for the future.
Being a team player who is always looking for more innovative, efficient, and effective ways to better our marketing program and organization.
A willingness to travel locally up to 10-20% to execute high-profile marketing activities and build relationships with leadership within your markets and the greater organization.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
3–5 years’ experience in marketing, event hospitality, project management or business development
Experience in event marketing, project management and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce CRM
Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Protiviti operates in a hybrid work environment, meaning all employees are expected to achieve a blend of in-person and remote work. The expected ratio of remote to in-person work will vary by team and other business factors. Local and/or out-of-state travel is required based on our project and internal client commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$60,000.00 - $92,000.00Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.
5%The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.
$63,000.00 - $96,600.00Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
