Responsibilities:

  • Prepare key aspects of ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations for quarterly and annual SEC filings including but not limited to GAAP & Non-GAAP effective tax rate, ASC 718 calculations, tax reserves related to uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 & FAS 5), valuation allowance, forecast of the AETR, cash tax rate, accounts reconciliation, quarterly analytics, journal entries, footnote disclosures, etc.
  • Research complex tax issues and draft tax memorandum for documentation
  • Monitor tax legislation and accounting standard updates and perform relevant tax impact analysis
  • Maintain an appropriate level of internal control and documentation on a quarterly basis to maintain SOX compliance
  • Support the tax department, while gaining valuable experience, in tax compliance, tax audits, international taxation, transfer pricing, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement; leverage automation to drive efficiency, both independently and through collaboration with other tax and finance teams
  • Cross collaborate within the organization with respect to tax needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA a plus
  • 3+ years of combined corporate tax experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or industry
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740/FIN 48 preferred
