We're looking for an SEO/CRO SR. Manager to join our growing marketing team. As the Sr Manager  SEO/CRO, you will lead all efforts to improve our search presence, increase organic traffic to Appian.com, improve conversion rates, and lead web analytics. 

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to learn a lot and make an impact. You will work on both our website (on-page SEO) as well as outreach and building links (off-page SEO). This requires a creative, analytical person who can execute on strategies from content creation to HTML updates to reports.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

  • Grow relevant organic traffic to Appian.com.

  • Obtain page 1 ranking for important Appian keywords.

  • Optimize and improve the conversion rate on Appian.com

  • Responsible for growing the online pipeline. 

  • Leveraging Google analytics, be the web analytics expert for Appian.com. 

  • Use AEM  to update Appian.com to support SEO strategies

  • Leverage Adobe target to establish a culture of experimentation. 

  • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities

  • Collaborate with other members of the digital marketing team to support campaigns and webinars through SEO

  • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations for Appian.com websites, social media channels, YouTube, and other organic traffic sources

  • Execute recommendations and strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals

  • Administer search engine programs (Webmaster tools, Moz, BrightEdge) for purposes of diagnostic reporting

  • Implement link building campaigns in coordination with SEO goals

  • Keep pace with SEO, search engine, and internet marketing industry trends and developments

  • Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools

  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels

  • Use analytics platforms and A/B testing tools to discover visitor behavior and conversion bottlenecks

  • Use data to drive fundamental web marketing decisions and design recommendations

Professional Competencies

  • Passion for SEO, CRO,  and internet marketing

  • In depth understanding of technical website management. 

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and Cookie consent tools. 

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points

  • Experience managing a team 

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and (CRO) Conversion Rate Optimization

  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools. Google Analytics expertise. 

  • Experience working with common SEO and CRO tools (Adobe Target, BrightEdge, Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, Site Improve, SEMrush, Screamingfrog, Google Tag Manager, STAT, Ahrefs, YouTube analytics, etc)

  • Demonstrated experience with conversion rate optimization

  • Expert knowledge of website wireframing and HTML/CSS

  • Experience working with AEM or similar CMS

  • BS/BA degree
