As a Product Engineer Intern in the DRAM Technology Node Development group, you will work alongside a group of enthusiastic engineers solving problems related to new process node development. Responsibilities may include: electrical characterization, developing test coverage, simulation of circuits, and validation of new features.
New Generation Product Development:
Responsible for new process node startup and yield improvement
Work with the wafer fabrication process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yield
Support design verification and in-depth circuit of new products using CAD tools and Verilog simulations
Identify design marginalities and recommend design fix for circuit-related problems
DRAM Probe / Back End Testing:
Improve Probe testing coverage, quality and on DRAM products
Own changes to the electrical probe test flow, review, and sign off probe test program release to ensure quality control
Utilize state-of-art in house engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysis
Develop creative testing algorithms to improve testing efficiency
Functional and Design Validation:
Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating DRAM features and commands
Analysis of failures generated from the evaluations
Automation of program development and work processes using scripting
Product Yield Enhancement:
Identify causes of low yield through systematic analysis
Work closely with various engineering groups in resolving process/defects related issues
Perform electrical/physical failure analysis to understand the failure mechanism relating to defects / fabrication process
Utilize statistical tools for detailed data analysis on product to drive yield improvement projects
Qualifications:
Effective written and spoken communication skills
Good organizational skills, able to make decisions in complex situations
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong presentation skills
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Education:
Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Open to Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD level candidates
Must be continuing education in Fall semester following the internship
