OVERVIEW:

The Insights product is a new offering for Guidepoint's Institutional investment and corporate clients, that offers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events. The teleconferences live in a transcript library portal, which covers a wide of industries/topics that enables our clients to make informed decisions. All content features experts from Guidepoint’s proprietary global network and is conceptualized and hosted by former investment professionals (i.e. private equity/hedge fund), sell-side equity research analysts, and industry professionals.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Work closely with senior analysts of the Insights group to plan primary research content that will cover a wide range of subsectors within financials including payments, consumer finance, cryptocurrencies, insurance and real estate 
• Lead teleconferences as a moderator featuring expert guests from Guidepoint’s network of over 1 million professionals 
• Prepare for teleconferences by reading public company SEC filings, reviewing investor presentations, monitoring news releases and analyzing Wall Street research reports. 
• Receive rigorous ongoing training from senior analysts of Insights group on topics including industry analysis, investment research, mergers & acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.   
• Top performers will have opportunity to advance to a senior analyst role or be groomed to enter graduate school (e.g. MBA, JD). Former analysts have also gone on to secure roles at top hedge/mutual funds, private equity firms and sell-side equity research.  

WHAT YOU HAVE:  

• Bachelor’s degree (business-related major required) 
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience  
• Must have at least 2 years work experience in investment banking, equity research, market/industry research, private equity, public investing or strategy consulting firm (i.e. Top 3 - McKinsey, Bain, BCG) 
• Experience conducting industry/company research using SEC filings, industry trade association data and company investor relations websites 
• Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels 
• Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Effective time management and organizational skills 
• Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

The annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $220,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
