Category Manager – Technology & Indirect

About the role

In this role, the Category Manager – Technology & Indirect will report to the Global Category Manager in Copenhagen and take end-to-end responsibility for sourcing software, hardware, and IT services across our global operations. You will partner with stakeholders worldwide and manage key supplier relationships.

Over time, you will also have the opportunity - if this matches your interests - to expand into indirect categories such as Travel, Facility Management, and Professional Services. This will give you exposure to a wide range of spend areas and open exciting career progression opportunities within procurement.

Key responsibilities

As Category Manager – Technology & Indirect, you will:

• Develop and implement category strategies that support business objectives.
• Partner with global, regional, and local stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities to deliver best value, compliance, and innovation.
• Drive the source-to-contract process, collaborating with IT, Finance, and Legal experts.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
• Champion compliance with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Support training, capability building, and change management initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional procurement teams on global initiatives.

Travel is limited (approx. 5–10 days per year).

What we are looking for

We imagine you bring 8–10 years of experience in Technology procurement and/or category management, ideally in a multinational and cross-cultural environment.

To succeed, you may have experience with some of the following:

• Sourcing and negotiation with technology vendors and service providers.
• Managing technology suppliers and contracts.
• Understanding technology trends, specifications, and market dynamics.
• Project management, procurement analytics, or P2P processes.

Most importantly, you are:

• A strong communicator who can build collaborative relationships across functions and cultures.
• Curious, agile, and proactive — you see change as an opportunity to innovate.
• Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
