Job Description:

Finance Planning & Analysis Director Senior

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Finance Planning & Analysis Director Senior will lead projects and initiatives aimed at contributing to financial strategy in the Medicaid sector through improving and streamlining financial analysis processes and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, project leadership, and a comprehensive understanding of Medicaid operations. This role will drive value and performance improvements, liaise with various teams and stakeholders, and assist in the consolidated evaluation and reporting of Medicaid performance.

How you will make an impact

  • Manage and lead projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing consolidated financial analysis and reporting related to Medicaid.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the organization to drive improvements in Medicaid performance.
  • Assist in the evaluation and consolidation of Medicaid financial performance, providing comprehensive reports and analyses for senior management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance financial processes and outcomes specific to Medicaid operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between finance and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support senior management with detailed financial analysis and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial data and trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in a high-level financial analysis position and experience supporting senior management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: 

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid financial operations and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, with strong analytical skills.
  • CPA, MBA or Masters degree in Accounting preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $142,140 to $213,210.
