                                                                           Regional Quality Manager - LATAM 

In this role you will be responsible for quality assurance in Latin America for the end-to-end Flora Food Group operations. Apart from managing quality in 2 Flora factories, you are also responsible for quality management of 3rd party manufacturers, warehouses & logistics and supporting local marketing and sales teams for in market quality issues, consumer/customer care line support & returns, on-shelf assessments/improvements and incident/Issu management. You will own the quality and food safety improvement agenda and you will drive quality improvement throughout your region.  You will be reporting into the Head of Global Quality. 

You will be responsible to: 

  • Ensure that all our products in your region meet the Upfield quality requirements.
  • Own the entire end-to-end quality agenda in your region.
  • Even though you will have a team reporting into you, in our company, it is expected you roll up your sleeves and work closely together with our 3PMs, warehouses yourself.
  • Define and drive improvement projects with suppliers, factories, warehouses and logistics to continuously improve quality standards. This includes import/ export lanes.
  • Ensure compliance and roll out Flora Food Group Quality processes and standards.
  • In case of quality non-conformances or incidents, you drive corrective and preventive actions with your factory, 3rd party, warehouse.
  • Provide input in innovation/renovation/CAPEX projects with regards to quality/ food safety risks & required mitigations. 

Also, you will be accountable for several responsibilities such as: 

  • Preparing leadership reports and communications regarding quality issues in logistics, country and manufacturing operations that affect the cluster and ensures improvement plans are in place and monitored through regular review
  • Performing internal and external audits and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. 
  • Ensures regular marketplace on-shelf product assessments are carried out, data is analyzed, and improvement projects are activated and followed u
  • Import/ export: Ensures re-codification of product when required, ensure local registration of import product to comply with legislation, raise issues and drive improvements.
  • Ensures core technology equipment and infrastructure design, process changes and specifications meet local regulatory requirements and product quality needs such as thermal and sanitary validations. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in industrial or technical and process, chemical, food engineer or similar area. 
  • Multiple years of experience in a quality role in the dairy industry.  
  • 10-50 years' experience in Food Manufacturing and with demonstrated success in a quality role. 
  • Excellent communication skills: with multiple stakeholders, people from different cultures and backgrounds, within the company, but also with external contacts.
