The Business Development Officer is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize all possible channels to source quality new-to-bank clients with potential to generate business across lending, treasury, capital markets, cash management products.
- Responsible for the entire process of new client acquisition from identifying prospects, delivering customized financial service solutions to completing facility availment.
- Facilitate client on-boarding process by resolving operations and service issues that may arise.
- Work in preparing credit assessments and monitoring risk issues by liaising with clients on any document deficiency or requests for more information.
- Follow up with clients on offer acceptance and confirm the facility is successfully availed.
- Keep supervisor informed about key changes in market conditions, trend, clients information, etc., and escalate potential issues and concerns promptly.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, engineering or related disciplines
- 2-5 years relevant commercial banking experience
- Good record of proactively building relationships with product and credit review/approval partners
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

- Definir y desarrollar Productos o mantenimientos de los existentes con el objetivo de contar con una oferta de servicios innovadores, eficientes, seguros y sencillos que satisfagan las necesidades de nuestros clientes.
- Seguimiento de los indicadores de producto para el logro de las metas definidas (Ingresos por comisiones y saldos, Transacciones, Importes Operados, Clientes, etc.
- Asegurar que los productos / servicios: Cumplan con las regulaciones (internas y publicas), Cuenten con análisis de competencia y mercado, Que los desarrollos tecnológicos cumplan con definición de negocio, diseños funcionales, matriz de requerimientos, guion de pruebas, ejecución de pruebas y liberación a producción.
- Evaluar y retroalimentar de forma continua el desempeño individual y colectivo, del equipo de trabajo, garantizar el cumplimiento de las metas y objetivos de la Institución y adoptando, en su caso, las medidas correctivas necesarias.
- Planear y coordinar la implementación de plataformas globales en Banamex. Con el fin de Incrementar la capacidad técnica y operativa de los servicios al mercado mexicano, así como, para ofrecer una nueva gama de productos.
- Evaluar adecuadamente el riesgo cuando se toman decisiones comerciales, demostrando una consideración particular por la reputación de la empresa y protegiendo a Citigroup, sus clientes y activos, al impulsar el cumplimiento de las leyes, las reglas y los reglamentos correspondientes, acatando la política, aplicando un juicio ético sólido en relación con el comportamiento personal, la conducta y las prácticas comerciales y escalando, administrando e informando los problemas de control con transparencia, así como supervisar de manera efectiva la actividad de otros y crear responsabilidad con aquellas personas que no mantienen estos estándares.
- Negociar las soluciones y actuar como enlace con los clientes internos y externos
- Evaluar costos/beneficios, hacer recomendaciones, desarrollar y supervisar planes de implementación
- Trabajar en problemas/proyectos asignados para apoyar las mejoras.
- Conocimiento amplio del SPID sistema interbancario en dólares
- Conocimientos de los sistemas de pagos
- Conocimiento de regulaciones SPID
