About This Opportunity 

Join the Australian Women and Girls’ Health Research (AWaGHR) Centre — a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and girls throughout their lives.

We’re seeking a Data Analyst with experience in data management and collaboration with researchers to support the delivery of multiple high-impact projects and ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the management of multiple data sets from surveys and health administrative records

  • Ensure high standards of data security and integrity are adopted and maintained.

  • Monitor and maintain data quality, including organising and checking data sets, linking records and documenting data processes

  • Prepare and distribute data sets to users

  • Manage input and output data and results from secure analysis environments

About You

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.

  • Demonstrate understanding of research methodologies and statistical techniques.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Commitment to data integrity, ethical research practices, and collaborative teamwork.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting research projects in a university, government, or non-profit research centre.

  • Familiarity with metadata standards, data governance, and ethical considerations in research data management.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia.
