Job Description
Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Oversee vendor qualification procedures, onboarding processes, and contract negotiation, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
Drive high-level vendor management strategies and align them with broader business goals.
Manage product schedules, budgets, and the achievement of objectives to support organizational success.
Analyze business and financial results to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate vendor services and products to ensure consistent quality and enhance the customer experience.
Develop and implement action plans based on in-depth analysis of product line and vendor performance metrics.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and contract terms.
Resolve conflicts or issues promptly to maintain positive vendor relationships.
Guide and implement innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives based on industry trends and customer insights.
Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring billing accuracy in line with contract terms.
Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
Serve as the initial point of contact for new and existing vendors, facilitating smooth onboarding and integration.
Generate and execute innovative ideas to improve vendor relationships, efficiency, and scalability.
Maintain detailed logs of vendor activities and present findings to key stakeholders.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or educational experience in related field preferred, or relevant work experience.
10+ relevant experience 4+ leadership
Extensive experience in asset recovery, impounds, or vehicle remarketing, with a strong background in leadership and team management.
Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives that improve recovery rates, reduce operational costs, and optimize the remarketing of repossessed vehicles.
Deep knowledge of relevant industry regulations, laws, and best practices related to vehicle impounding and remarketing.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving high levels of performance.
Excellent vendor management skills, with a track record of managing complex vendor relationships and negotiating favorable terms and contracts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions and implement improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and senior management.
Proven ability to manage large-scale operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and asset management or remarketing software.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex processes, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations, with the ability to balance operational needs and compliance requirements.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
