Position Summary

Responsible for Program Management Office (PMO) oversight and governance for the Advanced Grid Intelligence and Security (AGIS) portfolio and other major grid transformation projects, programs and strategies. Direct governance ensuring effective measures are taken and enterprise security risks are considered and mitigated. Responsible for program budgets and forecasts, establishing value realization metrics and reporting, and vendor/partner relationship management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Program/Project Management: Partner with program and project delivery leads ensuring AGIS and other major programs are executed in an efficient, quality manner while working to optimize throughput and leverage partners. Provides transparency to project status and key risk issues. Manages escalation for project issues and engaging business leaders to ensure visibility and timely resolution. Establishes and manages relationships with internal and external partners. Ensures that contracts related to project work are structured and managed prudently. Create and publish the program delivery plan.

  • Program Reporting: Coordinate interfaces with corporate executives and key stakeholders to inform them of program/project status and value realization. Lead development of presentations and other materials to provide pertinent information to a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Vendor/Partner Relationship Management: Establish and manage overall expectations and processes for key vendor/partner relationships. Foster consistency and coordination across the program/project leadership teams to ensure contractual obligations are met and adjusted as needed. Team with Supply Chain to ensure effective vendor agreements.

  • Program Governance: Lead the implementation of program management and governance policies, standards, processes, and procedures to enable effective and efficient program and project management for initiatives. Oversee policies and standards within the governance framework. Participate in recurring audit and corporate control assignments and remediation activities.

  • Risk Management: Maintain a risk management program. Identify and categorize program/project risks and lead efforts to develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Regulatory: Assist with legal/regulatory rate recovery filings and jurisdictional communications regarding the AGIS program and related projects. Represent the company in regulatory and stakeholder proceedings.

  • Industry Trends: Stay current with functional and industry trends associated with grid transformation technology. Initiate benchmarking efforts as appropriate.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Ten years of experience in the electric energy industry combined with of five years of management experience in technology, project management of large multi-faceted projects and system implementations.

  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Prior experience as a project manager/ lead with direct expertise in the use of project management tools, techniques, and communication processes.

  • Knowledge of financial analysis methods and key capital asset accounting concepts.

  • Experience negotiating medium to large size contracts and managing to contractual terms.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience leading grid modernization projects.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $122,000.00 to $173,933.00 per year
