As a Field Specialist, you will maintainning tractor operations in a professional and safe manner ensuring that equipment and resources are utilized optimally. Provide effective, professional and qualitative planning with follow-up support in connection with Baker supplied services.

As a Field Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

  • Directing the loading of tools and equipment required for the job and manages the overall well site operations;

    Understanding electronics and has ability to trouble shoot all tools in the field without assistance.

  • Ensuring quality of job performance.

  • Operating the service tools and runs service unit

  • Participating in reviews and appraises performance of subordinates

  • Maintaining client relation

  • Gathering necessary information from the customer for job coordination

  • Receiving and evaluating documentation from Field Specialists and monitors general condition of equipment

  • Being responsible for finalizing the package report after job has been completed

  • Making recommendations to Operations Manager regarding job performance of Field Specialists

  • Receiving, controlling and preparing necessary equipment for tractor operation according to procedures

  • Being responsible for the execution of operations according to Baker Hughes Procedures

  • Being responsible for complying with HSE safety guidelines

  • Being responsible for cleaning and maintenance of tools, truck and equipment in a professional manner according to required checklist

  • Reporting non-conformities in HSE, equipment and undesired incidents to Operation

    Manager

  • Reporting relevant and necessary data for maintenance, statistics and experience data according to internal procedures

    Being able to instruct and assist in teaching, training and developing personnel

  • Participating in professionally-directed training as instructed by the company and contractors

  • Participating in relevant project work/meetings/courses as required

  • Participating in onshore activities such as upgrading equipment, maintenance and equipment control

  • Taking personal responsibility for HSE and Quality

  • Taking signed off by Maintenance Manager on servicing of PTA 218/318/434.

  • Having extensive wireline operational knowledge.

  • Being capable of using Cerberus for modelling.

  • Having experience with Hepta & VPM operations (at least 20 Job each as lead hand).

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have minimum of 6 months in FSII.

  • Have minimum of 5-7 years directly related experience and/or Technical Diploma/Degree

  • Have clean class 5 Drivers Licence. No demerits

  • Have basic level computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

  • Have Baker Hughes minimum HSE course requirements.

    Show superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Show ability to work under pressure, multi task and set own priorities.

  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Be a team player, good interpersonal skills.

  • Pride in the ownership of the finished work.

  • Must be willing to travel
