Position Summary

The Town of Milton is accepting applications for part-time position of Facility Attendant. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day maintenance at the Town’s multi-use facilities. This position provides effective customer service, program support and maintains the facility requirements to provide direct service delivery to the public. The successful candidate must be able to work variable hours including evenings and weekends.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Performs regular maintenance and cleaning duties within the facility which may include an Arena, Pool, Gymnasium, Offices, and a variety of multipurpose rooms along with some outdoor areas
• Responds to customer inquiries and maintains ongoing communication with the Facility Supervisor, Facility Operator, and Customer Service staff to maintain a high level of service and efficiency
• Organizes, maintains and cleans bathrooms, change rooms, meeting rooms, lobby and common areas, janitorial and storage rooms
• Provide set ups/clean ups and conversions based on facility programming requirements, responding to additional requests as required
• Completes task lists as assigned by a Supervisor or designate
• Other duties as assigned in accordance with department objectives

Education & Experience

• Completion of Grade10 education
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work productively in a team environment and independently as required
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
