Job Description:

As our Hotel Services Assistant you will be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team that is committed to creating a welcoming, professional and caring environment for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Corinda.

Provide cleaning, laundry, and food service support, including meal preparation, distribution, housekeeping, to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents while adhering to hygiene, infection control, and quality standards.

This is a permanent part-time position, working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Candidates must be available and able to commit to these rostered shifts on an ongoing basis.

Things that work for us

• Ability to work as per the designated roster
• Experience with Food Services area including meal preparation, presentation, and distribution and Café Service
• Capable of assisting residents with laundry, putting clothes away, and general household tasks inclusive of cleaning
• Comfortable developing a relationship with each resident in your care, building trust and familiarity and supporting everyone’s personal space to be homelike, respectful and safe
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Cert III in Hospitality (Desired)
• High level of customer service skills
• Know, understand, and adhere to the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety standards
• Ability to follow directives as per care plan
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
