POSITION: IT Commercial Operations Intern

This role involves acting as part of a dynamic, cutting-edge global Information Technology department with workgroups engaged in IT Operations, Cloud transformation, networking, digital workplace technologies, Contact management centers, process, and governance. The IT Commercial Operations team plays a key role in enabling JCIs business units, and the successful intern will gain experience in working in a fast paced, challenging environment. The position gives real insight into the operation of a truly global IT organization and into the qualities required to succeed in a career in Information Technology.

OVERVIEW:

This intern position will work with the Commercial Operations CoE and focus primarily main on driving improvements in our release management processes for our commercial applications (Salesforce and ServiceMax).

Below are a list of indicative roles/responsibilities for the position:

  • User Access and Audit Management: The intern will assist with user access management across our Salesforce environment and help find opportunities to automate/improve on the process. They will also be involved in compliance checks to ensure that all users are created in accordance with internal audit requirements.
  • User and Support Governance: The intern will act as an IT liaison for our business stakeholders, who provide the first level of support to our end users. Responsibilities may include hosting calls, creating, and presenting training material, and acting as a conduit between the business and our external IT Support Teams. Additionally, the intern will help develop the IT Service Catalog pages for Salesforce and ServiceMax.
  • Automation Mini-Projects: Using the low-code automation tools in Salesforce to drive efficiencies and reduce errors in Salesforce user provisioning.
  • Data Analysis/Reporting: Using the reporting and querying tools available in Salesforce to analyse large volumes of data to help focus continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc and Project Work: Actively participate in projects initiated by the team, including the standardization of the process governance data capture across our Salesforce environments.
  • SFDC Platform: Full Salesforce training will be provided, and the intern will also assist with user access management/report and dashboard creation/data loads and exports/other ad-hoc tasks as required.
