Position Summary:

This position supports the internship programs for the College of Computing.  This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with companies and organizations in the region as potential internship employers. In addition, supports on and off-campus events connecting students with employers.

Salary & Benefits:

Minimum starting salary of $55,000, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties:

  • Support College of Computing Internship Program.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners supporting internships.

  • Identify and develop new internship opportunities.

  • Grow computing employer network.

  • Network with professionals from other universities to benchmark and grow best practices.

  • Connect students to potential employers through communication and in-person events.

  • Schedule, plan, and facilitate recruiting events and employer visits on campus.

  • Organize and recruit students of off-campus recruiting opportunities.

  • Coordinate with faculty in areas related to internship and career preparation.

  • Develop strategic initiatives enhancing the internship experience for students and employers.

  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 1+ year of experience in Higher Education Outreach in Computing or related field.

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree.

  • A degree in a computing or closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in career development/internship programs.

  • Experience working with external funding sources.

  • Previous record of engagement with organizations/companies.

Working Conditions:

Standard office environment. Some travel may be required.
