About the opportunity:

Join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane team at our spectacular Kangaroo Point location. Working within our Administration Department this is a part time position, 30.4 hours per fortnight Thursdays & Fridays, with flexibility for additional days.  Role commences 5th February 2026.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and self-motivated administration officer to work alongside our clinical theatre team as the theatre ward clerk. 

A snapshot of your duties will include:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and inquiries

  • Management of operating theatre bookings

  • Liaising with surgeon’s rooms

  • General administrative duties associated with theatres and theatre bookings as required.

  • Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and initiate action

  • Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry skills with good attention to detail

  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a part of a collaborative team

  • Previous experience in theatre bookings or hospital admissions would be desirable.
