About Nike Direct Digital Commerce

The role of Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) is to drive the most compelling digital consumer experiences – motivated by insights and data – to deliver Nike’s vision to consumers and to accelerate profitable, member-led growth across Nike Digital platforms (Nike App, Nike.com, SNKRS). NDDC operates as a business unit in close connection with Nike Stores and Nike Marketplace Partners, to jointly serve Consumers across the integrated Nike Sport Marketplace.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Within NDDC, the Senior Director Digital Commerce leads the Digital Commercial engine, if this is you, you will be driving the business through the leadership of these four sub-teams, of a total of 20-25 FTE, and across a large x-functional team:

  • Business Offense: Orchestrate the cross-functional offense required to ensure Nike’s internal matrix delivers on our digital growth ambitions for the EMEA marketplace. Own the execution and evolution of Forecasting, lead Weekly Trade, lead Monthly & Quarterly Business reviews

  • Moments & Initiatives: Design, align and implement plans against key retail moments (Cyber week, End of Season Sale) to deliver on Financial plans, whilst aligned to Brand strategy; Set Off price/Promo positioning, track against target measures and drive evolution in collaboration with partner functions, inclusive of partnering with Member Lifecycle Marketing and Finance on Member Rewards.

  • Digital Programming: Serve as linking pin across all activity programming (email, push, digital real estate, media) and demonstrate an integrated approach across Digital Experience KPIs, Marketing & Member data, with the intent to share the right message, at the right moment, with the right member, through the right channel. Lead an integrated Digital Experimentation offense

  • Partners & International: Enhance the EMEA International (incl. Canada, Australia, Turkey, South Africa) portfolio revenue & profitability, and engage with key team members on the transformation of this offense; Serve as key point of contact on Partner engagements related to Nike Branded Digital Experiences.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Senior Director Digital Commerce reports to the VP/GM NDDC EMEA and sits on the NDDC Leadership Team, collaborates closely with other functional leaders (i.e. Experience, Marketing, Digital Operations, Demand & Supply Planning, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance).

WHAT YOU BRING

The ideal candidate for the role should be able to demonstrate experience with the below skills and areas of the business

  • Relevant commercial and digital experience (e.g. digital/ecommerce, analytics, commercial management and/or strategy collaborating with direct-to-consumer businesses), with a focus on the following areas;

  • Optimizing consumer journeys through UX/UI and experimentation

  • Digital Marketing connectivity, across owned, paid & earned.

  • Inventory, pricing & promotions

  • Balancing Brand & Commerce goals, with the consumer’s needs at the center.

  • Proven experience in team leadership: A track record of uniting cross-functional teams around shared goals, and the ability to build a collaborative team environment where a diverse set of backgrounds, skills and perspectives are brought together to achieve results.

  • Deep expertise in direct digital ecosystems and metrics, as well as commercial acumen. Prior experience driving trade or leading a P&L is an advantage. Solid experience and understanding of e-commerce, app and financial KPIs is key.

  • Mastery in structured problem solving through to definition and activation of tangible solutions/next steps.

  • A positive, energetic attitude with a bias for action, followed through with the skills & experience on ensuring accountability & governance.

  • Outstanding stakeholder skills, including navigating the corporate matrix across global and geo, facilitating complex decision-making and making persuasive presentations to senior management. Proven ability to influence senior leaders & to flex communication style towards different audiences.
