HedgeServ is looking for a Business Analyst to help with the development and support of various applications in our stack, innovators who can make an immediate impact on our already successful Product and Portfolio Management team. We need a proactive and self-driven professional with an eye for detail, a team player, good communicator, and facilitator, that can incorporate elements of design, testing, release, and support.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyse data to gain insights that inform direction, communications, and requirements.
• Collaborating and communicating with various stakeholders to gain their perspective and requirements, including UX and development in relation to design elements.
• Prepare and communicate user stories for new application features and bugs with development teams.
• Complete UAT of developed items and manage software releases of the supported applications with the Change Management function.
• Participate in the prioritisation of the short and medium-term goals of the team through sprint planning and roadmap meetings.
• Assist the application support teams with issue investigation and functionality rollout.
• Become the champion and related subject matter expert of applications, able to demonstrate developed features to interested parties and maintain related documentation.
• Task ownership of designated tasks and remove blockers for the development team, allowing them to focus their time and efforts on development.

Required: 

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years’ experience in the software industry, with strong understanding of SDLC.
• 1+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or Product Role (Owner or Manager).

• Experience in building and/or using APIs.
• Experience in writing SQL and database technologies.
• Experience in gathering and communicating requirements with both technical and non-technical representatives.
• Experience working with Jira, Elastic, Service Desk Plus, SharePoint, or similar applications.
• Experience in release and change management processes.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, time-management, analytical, and organisational skills.
• High degree of IT literacy or recognised 3rd level IT/IT and Business qualification.

Good to have:

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of On Premises and Cloud (AWS) infrastructure, and related technologies.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.
