In this role you will be responsible for managing Product Engineering projects for the US Drive Products division in the Motion business area.  You will be responsible for managing a range of concurrent small to large project-related activities from planning to execution.  This includes cross-functional communication to facilitate project completion on time and within budget, effectively utilizing project management processes. 

The work model for the role is: Hybrid in New Berlin, WI supporting Motion Drive Products Division.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Leads the project team in overall project planning and execution while balancing scope, schedule and resources. Establish strong operating mechanisms to track progress, identify issues and risks, overcome obstacles, and define recovery plans.
  • Participate in the definition and development of technical solutions and requirements for assigned projects, ensuring the most cost effective and reliable solution for the project requirements, while assuring the solutions fit company guidelines.
  • Responsible for the completion of all relevant project documentation: drawings, bill of material, electrical diagrams, software, equipment purchase specifications, test procedures, technical descriptions and instructions, product analysis, etc.
  • Ensure that functional deliverables are compliant with regulatory and business unit quality system requirements. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Chairs and coordinates the communication of project status to Steering Committee, Program Managers, Functional management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field and 8+ years of experience in project management and/or project engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to internal and external parties and stakeholders.
  • Experience with MS Office, Teams and related Project Management Tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, requiring a valid US Driver’s License and US Passport.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Preferred Qualifications for the role:

  • Electronic Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience working with vendors for manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Experience working with a greenfield manufacturing site.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
