Position Overview:  

The Professional Education Advisor or Technical Advisor is responsible for designing and delivering evidence based clinical education programs for healthcare professionals (HCPs). The role ensures the delivery of impactful, customer-centric education aligned with business strategy and the creation of the clinical marketing narrative, driven by marketing. It also enhances product understanding and supports market development according to regional account plans. 

The role bridges clinical communication between sales, marketing, and external stakeholders, and contributes to the deployment of Convatec’s advanced wound care / ostomy care, and/or related portfolios. 

Key Responsibilities:

Professional Education & Program Development

• Design structured education plans and clinical training aligned with product protocols and best practices.

• Deliver peer-to-peer programs, workshops, and accredited courses for HCPs.

• Develop localised training materials and adapt global content to regional needs.

• Create and maintain education playbooks, including formats, localization, and delivery strategies.

• Lead workshops, symposia, and accredited courses in collaboration with medical associations and societies.

• Support product launches with tailored educational content.

• Deliver clinical cases in partnership with KOLs in the accounts.

• Support technical committees’ approval.

• Be the clinical reference for KOLs in the region.

• Understand, anticipate and actively address the clinical information needs of HCPs and provide input into the overall marketing strategies, focused on targeted plans at an account level.

Stakeholder Engagement & KOL Management

• Partner with marketing team (or Medical team if applicable in the country) to engage KOLs for evidence creation and guide Local KOLs with clinical experience.

• Identify, engage, and nurture Key Opinion Leader (KOL) programs across specialties.

• Engage in peer-to-peer learning, and execute expert meeting programs.

• Collaborate with KOLs and medical associations to support scientific exchange.

Support deployment of medical devices

• Identify, collate, analyse and communicate relevant new knowledge about the external clinical environment to internal stakeholders.

• Synthesise clinical evidence and publications, with a focus on real world evidence, pertaining to Convatec products and services.

• Deliver clinical education for internal teams (e.g., sales) driving internal enablement through alignment with standards and detailed product knowledge.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in clinical practice in Ostomy/ Continence / Wound or, clinical education.

• Experience as nurse treating Ostomy/ Wound or Enterostomal nurse (practical experience).

• Experience in indirect market models and distributor dynamics.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills.

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and independently.

• Technologically savvy with strong analytical and planning skills.

• Conversational English is required.

Qualifications/Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, preferred ET nurse, qualified physician.

• Deep understanding of wound care, ostomy, clinical practice.

• MBA or qualification in adult education advantageous.
