We are undergoing an exciting expansion in the Hematology area across the Nordics, and GSK Sweden is looking to add another Medical Advisor to our diverse and energetic team. As Medical Advisor Hematology, you will spend 50% of your time in the field engaging with healthcare professionals to provide scientifically accurate, non-promotional, fair and balanced medical information to ensure that informed decisions are made to drive the best possible patient care. You will gain valuable insights and feedback from the healthcare community on GSK products and services, medical and scientific information which will help guide research, development and service provision to benefit GSK’s customers and patients.

In this role you will…

  • Be the scientific expert in the therapy area. Maintain a detailed understanding of the therapy area and a deep appreciation of the science and evidence for GSK medicines and general treatment options in the therapy area
  • Build peer-to-peer scientific relationships with identified Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations/scientific societies to address their information needs and gain insights that inform GSK medical and research strategies. Assist the medical team in the identification of external experts within the therapy area.
  • Act as the interface between the professional healthcare community and the internal GSK medical team and its affiliates providing value-added insights and feedback from the community designed to improve medical, commercial and drug development planning and service provision for the ultimate benefit of patients.
  • Fully understand and comply with local codes of practice, guidelines and laws to ensure the strictest requirements are met particularly with respect to delivery of promotional versus non-promotional information.
  • Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals and associated individuals regarding licensed or un-licensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure all medical information responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous and strictly comply with local regulations
  • Support clinical development activities by participating in the site identification and assessment process, addressing subject retention and other scientific issues in partnership with study management and monitoring

Why you? 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Medical Doctor or university degree in other life sciences (e.g. MSc, MPharm or PharmD), familiarity with scientific research terminology and methods
  • Established network in Hematology – ideally Myeloma
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, ability to present & discuss scientific information to different audiences, history of previously working with external scientific experts
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel

Preferred:

  • Medical Affairs experience, preferably with experience in pre-launch/launch activities
  • Flexible thinking and oriented to continuous improvement and driving changes across cross-functional stakeholders
