THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
As a Staff Data Architect, you are accountable for domain-scale data architecture impact. You define the target-state architecture for your domain, establish enforceable standards and data contracts, and enable multiple teams to deliver governed, reliable, and reusable data products. You are responsible for architecture decision quality, semantic consistency, and adoption of shared patterns across your vertical. You shape how data is designed and governed. You do not primarily own pipeline delivery. You own the architecture that makes delivery scalable and consistent.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
Define and maintain the domain North Star architecture and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to business priorities.
Establish and enforce data modeling standards, canonical definitions, and schema evolution practices.
Define and operationalize data product contracts including ownership, quality expectations, and versioning discipline.
Lead domain-level architecture governance and design reviews, ensuring decisions are documented and stakeholder concerns are addressed.
Hands-on prototyping & building frameworks with the ability to drive MVP execution
Define scalable Lakehouse and platform patterns using Databricks, aligned to performance, cost, reliability, and security requirements.
Embed data quality, metadata, lineage, and compliance by design into architecture standards.
Lead domain migration and deprecation strategies that reduce technical debt and long-term risk.
Partner across Data Engineering, Product Engineering, Product, Security, Governance, Analytics and other stakeholders to translate business intent into enforceable architectural direction.
Influence adoption of standards across multiple teams without direct authority.
