Mechanical Engineer

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

  • Promoting and maintaining IKO safety goals and ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Leads safety and housekeeping efforts and corrective actions within department, assigned projects, and areas with goal of zero incidents. Exemplifies safety in all actions and leads by example.

  • Creating detailed designs and engineering drawings for mechanical components, systems, and products.

  • Analyzing and evaluate designs for functionality, structural integrity, and safety.

  • Creating detailed product specifications, including material requirements and manufacturing processes.

  • Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop 3D models and prototypes and test mechanical systems.

  • Ensuring that designs meet industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

  • Innovating and develop solutions to engineering challenges and problems.

  • Developing maintenance schedules and procedures for mechanical equipment and systems,

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and implement repairs.

  • Performing preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE; 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to develop and manage a budgetary control process for areas of responsibility.

  • Analytical, data-driven problem solving and action planning skills.

  • Ability to make independent and well thought out decisions.

  • Organized, self-starter, results oriented, unique problem solver.

  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols

  • Proficiency in CAD software, engineering analysis tools, and simulation software.

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least six (6) years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.
