Job Description Summary:

This position ensures delivery of quality patient care by nursing personnel and other staff in designated area of responsibility via effective planning, organization, and evaluation of use of material, fiscal and human resources. He/She integrates the Nursing Philosophy along with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of OhioHealth in Department operations. This position is responsible to provide direction and supervision to Managers, Nurse Administrators and other specialty roles. The Director of Nursing collaborates with the CNO to ensure one standard of care and practice for professional nursing throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing

Bachelor of science with a focus in Nursing; Current BLS Provider; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio; Graduate degree in nursing or a related field from a program including organizational science and management concepts. Administrative concepts, organizational behavior, change management, management processes (planning, budgeting), Nursing practice standards, process management and improvement, program development, evidence based concepts, legal and ethical matters; computer applications in healthcare. Health care economics, Health and public policy, Consumer health issues, Health care evaluation and outcome measures. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relations, verbal and written communication, adult principles. 5 years management Experience ; 3 years clinical nursing in health care setting.
