Get to know the Role

As a Procurement Sourcing Specialist, you will be the lead to manage and run sourcing events in partnership with internal stakeholders. You will have primary responsibility in leading the contracts and commercial agreements and negotiations with the suppliers with initial focus on technology vendors and service providers. You must be comfortable operating with “blank sheet” assignments and operating in a complex, fast-growing environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the governance and implementation of the Procurement Policy, Processes and Procedures.
  • Partner closely with the Business and rest of the Bank in driving the value creation from the external supply base.  
  • Execute strategic sourcing events(RFI/RFQ/RFP), partnering business users to select the most suitable supplier to fulfill business needs. 
  • Monitor, measure and report Procurement commercial (Savings) and compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Senior Management.
  • Ensure all supplier assessment and selection recommendations are reviewed and supported before submission to approval committees.
  • Support business teams with agreement/contract requests to renew existing relationships with strategic suppliers of GXS Bank.
  • Maintain a database of contracts and supplier information.
  • Oversee the Procurement Ops team when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements 

  • Over 8 years of experience in third party procurement in technology categories in banking. 
  • Substantial experience in managing and negotiating contracts/agreements with suppliers, with knowledge on local compliance and business policy requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information.
  • A data-driven individual with a strong bias for action, strong analytical capabilities and a holistic understanding of business.
  • Willing to take on new challenges and be adaptive to a fast-growing and dynamic start-up environment.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure and tight schedules, cope with several tasks simultaneously, and be deadline oriented.
  • Creativity and comfortable with ‘blank sheet of paper’ assignments and problem solver in a complex environment.
  • Ambitious, self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a startup VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. Should have a deep desire to excel and develop a career in a fast growing company. Should have demonstrated integrity and respect in the performance of their duties.
