Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Executes financial plans for merchandise categories by building partnerships with cross-functional specialists; preparing, revising, and executing subcategory budgets, seasonal buy plans, and line review financials; determining item and store feature quantities; conducting analyses to identify business drivers and levers; and developing and presenting financial recommendations to merchants.
Assists with category team profit and loss and financial forecasting by calculating and adjusting annual, monthly, weekly, and daily financial projections against actual results; conducting financial analyses and reports to understand and explain business trends and performance; and preparing and analyzing new item and merchandise line financial reviews.

Supports the continuous development of financial strategies and key event plans alongside category team by attending meetings with suppliers; modeling, analyzing, and evaluating the impact of key variables on subcategory performance and risk exposure; preparing and reporting category strategy templates to inform strategic decision-making; analyzing and reconciling financial results of modular changes; identifying discrepancies in financial results; executing actions to correct discrepancies; and ensuring the modular assortment mix aligns with financial goals of the category.
Supports the maintenance of inventory plans by ensuring inventory forecasts are current and accurate; maintaining markdown budgets; preparing and reporting recommended markdown actions to planning management; maintaining markdown action item list; executing markdowns in company information systems. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00
