Job Overview 

As an Account Manager at AvidXchange, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with key media agency clients utilizing our commercial card services. You’ll be responsible for driving adoption, satisfaction, and growth of our media payment solutions, partnering with internal teams to optimize the customer experience. You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding the unique payment needs of media companies and delivering solutions that align with their strategic business goals.

What you’ll do 

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of media and advertising agency clients. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships to understand their business needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Product Adoption & Utilization: Educate clients on the full capabilities of AvidXchange's Media Card Services, helping them maximize the value of our solutions to improve operational efficiencies and enhance payment workflows.
  • Revenue Growth: Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities to expand usage of the Media Card Services product suite. Develop and execute strategic plans to increase revenue from existing accounts and support cross-selling of related AvidXchange services.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for media clients within AvidXchange, working closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure services are meeting customer needs. Provide feedback on customer challenges and help shape future product enhancements.
  • Account Review & Reporting: Conduct regular performance reviews with clients, providing insights on account activity, spend data, and payment trends. Utilize analytics and reporting tools to monitor account performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Proactively address any issues that arise during the client lifecycle, collaborating with internal teams to resolve challenges and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on media industry trends, including agency operations, billing cycles, and procurement strategies. Use this knowledge to provide tailored advice to clients and adapt AvidXchange's offerings to the evolving media landscape.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, relationship management, or client services, ideally within media, fintech, or payments industries.
  • Knowledge of commercial card services, B2B payments, or financial solutions within media and advertising agencies is a strong plus.
  • The ability to build and manage relationships with senior-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and articulate client needs and develop strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in **growing account revenue** and expanding product usage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and support teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
