What Data Analytics contributes to Cardinal Health

A FinOps Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening Cardinal Health’s cloud financial operations by ensuring every dollar spent in the Cloud delivers measurable business value. Through advanced analytics, forecasting, and costoptimization strategies, the FinOps Analyst provides leaders with clear, actionable insights that drive smarter decisionmaking and maximize the return on cloud investments - transforming the cloud from a technical expense into a strategic value engine.

Minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years of data analytics experience
  • 2+ years experience with supporting either GCP or AWS or Azure cloud spend analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in developing reports (leveraging tools like GCP Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Good data interpretation and presentation & delivery skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of Cloud infrastructure/services 
  • Experience in managing cloud chargeback models
  • Understanding of Cloud commitment usage discounts
  • Experience in managing Cloud billing and Procurement processes (Invoice management)
  • Experience working with AI solutions
  • Certified FinOps Practitioner 
  • 2+ years of experience as a Financial Data Analyst

  • Is able to apply comprehensive knowledge of FinOps concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform tasks and deliver projects effectively.
  • Can work independently on large‑scale or complex initiatives with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Is able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to support collaboration and alignment.
  • Can strategically pursue the development of advanced data modeling and analytics skills to enhance insights and reporting capabilities.
  • Is able to continuously learn and stay current with industry trends, best practices, and evolving FinOps methodologies, and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities and organizational needs.
