JOB DESCRIPTION
TEAM OVERVIEW
The TDS Product Delivery Team within the TDS Data, Delivery and Integration (DDI) group is responsible for leading product change initiatives across TDS. This includes product intake, prioritization, planning and coordination of activities to secure operational readiness. The objective of the team is to deliver products across TDS while minimizing operational risk.
To deliver this mandate, our team partners with cross functional stakeholder groups from across TD Bank and TDS including teams in the Front Office, Technology, Market Risk, Product Control, Finance/Accounting, and Treasury and Balance Sheet Management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Product Delivery Specialist will be an important contributor to product initiatives. The incumbent will support product delivery efforts include facilitating stakeholder discussions, requirements gathering, developing implementations plans and communication of key updates.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate implementation readiness activities across all impacted business and technology groups in support of product go-live readiness.
Formulate recommendations regarding delivery approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies and other implementation constraints.
Prepare implementation plans and hold stakeholders accountable for progress against established scope and timelines.
Anticipate delivery risks/issues and mitigate accordingly, ensure timely resolution of impediments, escalate as required.
Deliver guidance in alleviating roadblocks throughout all stages of delivery.
Influence stakeholders towards solutions while ensuring appropriate transparency, reporting and escalation.
Prepare project documentation.
May entail opportunities to rotate onto other initiatives within TDS Data, Delivery and Integration as business priorities and demands arise.
Experience and Skillset
Familiarity with a variety of financial product types/asset classes acquired through previous tenure in a capital markets role.
Experience in organizational change management/delivery and project leadership.
Familiarity with one or more of the following functional areas: Operations, technology, risk management, quantitative analytics, or business management.
Ability to operate in an unstructured environment and to progress on multiple priorities concurrently while navigating unfamiliar territory and ambiguity.
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Organizational skills including ability to identify and track project dependencies & blockers, ensure proper resolution of outstanding items, document meeting minutes and takeaways in a clear and concise manner.
Inter-personal skills including conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation.
Experience using JIRA and Confluence for tracking tasks and managing documents.
Additional Qualifications
4+ years of experience in a capital markets and/or change management role (or similar).
University degree or equivalent
CFA, FRM, CPA or PMP designation as asset
