As Administrative Program Coordinator IV – Chief of Staff, your work as a caregiver starts in the office, where you focus on managing various projects, identifying improvement opportunities, coordinating policy evaluations and enhancing department efficiency and cohesion. Ultimately, your efforts help ensure Cleveland Clinic can continue delivering the best patient care experience possible.    

A caregiver in this position works onsite at Main Campus, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Function as a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource.  

  • Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.  

  • Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.  

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.  

  • Develop communications and databases. 

  • Lead or coordinate multiple complex projects, major initiatives or policy implementations. 

  • Update, monitor and manage databases. 

  • Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.  

  • Analyze project improvement and progress. 

  • Report discrepancies and variances. 

  • Act as a liaison with committees, caregivers and vendors.  

  • Facilitate project prioritization and implementation.  

  • Assist with the scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings. 

  • Attend meetings and record key outcomes. 

  • Identify key milestones and deadlines.  

  • Communicate project status and requirements to achieve results.  

  • Research, analyze and organize information for presentations.  

  • Develop interdepartmental education programs and assist with developing department orientation and training.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Healthcare Administration or a related field and five years of administrative, financial or project management experience OR High School Diploma/GED and nine years of experience OR Associate’s Degree and seven years of experience OR Master’s Degree and four years of experience 

  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications 

  • Communication, multi-tasking, critical thinking and customer service skills 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Healthcare experience 

  • Knowledge of project management and communication practices 

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role 

Physical Requirements:

  • High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.

  • May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.

  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
