Village Vet Whittlesford has an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to become part of their friendly and supportive team who are known for the highest quality of clinical care and progressive and evidenced based approaches. The Village Vet Whittlesford site boasts a stunning state-of-the-art building, completed in 2012, providing an unrivalled environment for clients and colleagues. Built on the site of the old practice, conveniently next to Whittlesford Parkway station, a local focus is maintained with a commitment to serve the local community, whilst offering support and mid-tier referral options to the surrounding region. There is easy parking, and the practice is only 12 mins away from central Cambridge on the train and only 25 minute to Stanstead Airport.
A range of services are provided, from routine preventative health care to advanced surgery and medicine. There is a separate IM3 dental suite, a Storz laparoscopic tower for lap spays etc, and a consistent flow of orthopaedic procedures. The facilities and set-up is modern and well equipped with digital diagnostic, on-site laboratory, a versatile central prep room, beautiful operating theatres, and separate dog, cat and isolation wards. The whole building has been carefully designed to maximise natural light.
The local and senior leadership team are committed to listen, learn and evolve, deliberately building a culture of openness and trust. Acting with integrity and prioritising kindness and compassion alongside promoting best practice contextualised care for the patient and client, as well as the team. Full time or part-time rotas, flexible hours, permanent or fixed-term contracts will be considered. They are fully committed to constructing roles which meet the needs of the individual.
