Summary of the position:

The Package Air – Inside Sales Representative will focus on our commercial package products sales.  Specifically, the ISR will handle commercial product requests for quote from channel and provide the necessary quotation and support documentation ensuring specific timeliness service level goals are met.  This position will also accept and confirm completeness and accuracy of POs, and process through order entry and manufacturing.  The ISR will further lead targeted prospecting / lead generation campaigns, proactively follow up on active quote opportunities, and provide general sales, product, application, technical, and customer support to channel.  This position may also assist in the development of sales presentations and proposals for channel.  The ISR will interface daily with customers (and manufacturing), nurture relationships, and develop a strong rapport.  Effectively utilizing CRM to manage opportunities and communicate results and reports as required. 

Duties and responsibilities:

Commercial Offering (Air Power Package / Custom Air Power Package) – Technical and Business Support:

  • Quote Preparation:
    • Prepare and deliver Air Power Package (APP) and Custom Air Power Package (CAPP) quotes, ensuring all necessary documentation and sales presentations are included.
  • Timeliness and Communication:
    • Ensure timely quote preparation and submission. Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations and ensure smooth transactions.
  • Point of Contact for Technical and Sales Support:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for channel inquiries, providing support on technical questions, capabilities, product applications, and general sales and customer service needs.
  • Engineering Support:
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to support the design and development of APP products. Assist with costing, pricing, vendor costing inquiries, and prepare commercial materials such as quote pricing configurators as requested.
  • Order Management:
    • Manage incoming Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring completeness and accuracy. Handle order entry, coordinate with manufacturing, and work with scheduling to ensure timely shipment and delivery of packages.
  • Customer Follow-Up:
    • Provide routine and timely communication with customers regarding quote readiness, product inquiries, fabrication schedule and delivery updates, and follow-up to ensure full customer satisfaction and completeness of information.

Lead Generation and Marketing Campaign Management:

  • Targeted Prospecting:
    • Develop and manage targeted prospecting and lead generation campaigns aimed at driving incremental sales, increasing market penetration, and fostering business development.
  • Marketing Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create tailored sales enablement materials, such as brochures, case studies, and email campaigns, to generate leads and promote products.
  • Lead Nurturing:
    • Use CRM tools to track responses from marketing campaigns, manage follow-up communications, and ensure proper lead nurturing throughout the sales process.
  • Customer Insights for Marketing:
    • Provide valuable customer feedback and insights to the marketing team to improve campaign effectiveness, messaging, and future product positioning.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling:
    • Leverage your product knowledge to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities during interactions with customers, helping drive additional revenue.

General Technical Support and Internal Collaboration:

  • Technical Guidance:
    • Provide ongoing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams, addressing technical inquiries or challenges that may arise in both pre-sales and post-sales stages.
  • Collaboration with Engineering & Design Teams:
    • Work closely with engineering and design teams to support product development, ensuring customer needs and technical specifications are met in the design and manufacturing processes.
  • Product Knowledge Sharing:
    • Stay up-to-date with new product features, technical specifications, and any changes to the product portfolio, ensuring you can effectively communicate updates to customers and internal teams.

Project/Portfolio Documentation & CRM Management:

  • Accurate Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed, accurate project and portfolio documentation, including quotations, customer communications, and opportunities, within CRM software.
  • Sales and Progress Reporting:
    • Generate comprehensive sales progress and performance reports for stakeholders and management, including tracking key metrics related to technical support, lead generation, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Opportunity Tracking:
    • Use CRM to track sales opportunities, ensuring all relevant customer interactions, follow-ups, and technical support issues are logged and managed efficiently.

Reporting and Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Internal Reporting:
    • Provide regular reports to internal teams, including technical support, marketing, and management, highlighting trends, customer feedback, and any challenges faced during the sales process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Participate in team meetings to align sales, marketing, technical support, and engineering teams on strategies, product developments, and customer feedback. Ensure all departments are working together towards the same goals.

Miscellaneous and Other Duties:

    • Perform other related duties as assigned, providing support to various teams and assisting with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate degree in engineering or business (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Professional experience:

  • Industry experience, Strong knowledge of compressed air systems and related equipment preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite, prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP, Dynamics/Salesforce CRM project management software a plus.
  • Proven experience in inside sales and providing customer service excellence.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • On-site (in-office) position (preferred) but not mandatory.
