Reporting directly to the PT CFO, this role acts as the primary conduit between the global commercial organization, regional CFOs, treasury, FP&A, and other finance functions.
The Lead ensures that financial risks, deal implications, and order data are thoroughly understood, managed, and integrated into decision-making processes. It also partners closely with the PT Commercial Operations Leader to align on deal strategies, risk mitigation, and process improvements. Focused on safeguarding the organization’s financial health, the role enhances transparency and supports strategic planning through comprehensive deal risk evaluation, order reporting, and financial analysis.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Risk & Financial Governance
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve a global risk governance framework tailored to complex commercial deals, including risk appetite, escalation protocols, and compliance standards.
- Act as the escalation and decision-support expert for high-value, high-risk deals, collaborating directly with regional CFOs, treasury, the PT Commercial Operations Leader, and senior leadership to ensure robust oversight.
- Translate contractual risks and obligations into quantifiable financial exposures aligned with enterprise risk standards.
2. Deal & Orders Risk Assessment & Strategic Partnering
- Serve as a trusted adviser to deal teams, the PT Commercial Operations Leader, commercial leadership, regional CFOs, and FP&A on financial risks, deal implications, and mitigation strategies related to strategic deals exceeding $100M.
- Lead detailed financial risk evaluations, covering margins, cash flow, contractual obligations, currency/exchange impacts, credit risks, and order volume forecasts.
- Assist deal teams and the Commercial Operations and the regional CFOs in structuring offers to optimize risk/reward, integrating financial insights early in the process.
- Validate and monitor order quantities and forecasts, ensuring alignment with deal projections and strategic objectives.
3. Orders Reporting & FP&A Support
- Oversee and enhance Orders and deal volume reporting processes, ensuring high data quality, accuracy, and consistency across regions.
- Support FPA team in data analysis for deal pipeline visibility, revenue recognition, and business planning.
4. Financial Risk Analysis & Monitoring
- Consolidate risk and Orders dashboards for executive review, highlighting key financial risks, order trends, and exposures across the deal pipeline.
- Partner with treasury and finance teams to monitor currency, credit, and liquidity risks stemming from large deals and order flows.
- Ensure ongoing tracking of risk exposures and order volumes, providing insights to guide decision-making.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Gap Bridging
- Act as a critical link between the commercial organization, regional CFOs, treasury, FP&A, legal, and audit teams.
- Facilitate the integration of risk, financial and order considerations into deal approval workflows, negotiations, and post-deal reviews.
- Clearly communicate complex financial and risk information to non-finance stakeholders and executive leadership.
6. Governance, Policies & Best Practices
- Lead the development of global policies, standards, and tools related to risk assessment, deal governance, and order reporting.
- Conduct global training sessions to elevate risk and order management standards within deal teams and regional units.
7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage advanced analytics, AI, and automation tools (e.g., GenAI) to enhance risk prediction, deal analysis, and order reporting processes.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving data quality, system integration, and decision speed.
8. Project & Data Strategy Leadership
- Partner with the PT Commercial Operations leader to spearhead initiatives for predictive modeling, data integration, and deployment of new risk and order management platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and real-time reporting to facilitate accurate and timely decision-making.
QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; Master’s or CFA/FRM preferred; or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial risk management, commercial finance, or related roles
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex deals across multiple regions
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, risk systems, and contractual risk assessment
- Experience with risk management tools and data analytics platforms
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, scenario analysis, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated leadership in driving risk governance and process improvements
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities, with senior leadership engagement
- International experience and cross-cultural collaboration skills preferred
- Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous
