What you will do

The PMO Program Manager will serve as a highly skilled, single point of contact and be accountable for the effective and efficient planning and execution for the portfolio of all projects for a top retail customer.  He/She will manage the strategic program and projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering exceptional results.

The PMO Program Manager has subject matter expertise in areas including project management, product solutioning, project constraints, project methodology, resource allocation and facilitation, and will ensure overall management and control of project schedules, project costs, installation quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction within the account portfolio. He/She prepares and presents to management and/or customers all project updates, overall summary, and status of expected results, and provides leadership and management oversight, direction, and guidance to Project Managers assigned to projects within the Account Portfolio.

This role will also manage vendor/partner relationships alongside the Senior Sales Executive and Field Directors and Managers. Manage projects as needed.

 

How you will do it

·        Serve as a primary liaison between Sensormatic, our retail customer and other stakeholders, providing leadership, guidance, and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Act as an escalation point of contact for all program issues, risks, and conflicts, working closely with stakeholders to resolve challenges and drive both the project and customer focused success points.

·        Methodology – Understanding and application of Project Management Institute’s (PMI) methodology and key knowledge areas; Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management.

·        Communication/Coordination - Responsible for timely and accurate communication and status reporting from inception to project close out to the project team, customer and Sensormatic management.  

·        Portfolio/Project Management – Define, plan, and execute strategic program and project work in alignment with the customer’s requirements and expectations, objectives, budget, and timelines. Develop and maintain project management frameworks, methodologies and standards tailored to the unique requirements for our customer, company, and technologies. Redesign of current processes for optimization.  Ability to manage projects as needed.

·        Responsible for project integration across the account portfolio.  Ensures effective and efficient project execution planning including project scope definition, project schedules and resource management, project change requests, and providing technical advice and problem resolution to all aspects of project. Modifies schedules of plans as required.

·        Collaborate with internal and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions and deliverables. Providing regular updates and status reports to executive leadership and stakeholders, highlight progress, issues, risks, and key milestones.

·        Mentor and coach project managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·        Customer Service - Provide responsive, concise, and professional support to all execution-based inquiries from customers and other personnel and ensures timely follow-up on all customer concerns and issues.  Manages customer expectations as it relates to the feasibility and response time.

 

What we look for

·        BS/BA in Business Administration, Project or Program Management, or related field

·        5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or related roles managing large-scale projects, with a focus on retail technology solutions

·        PMI PMP certification preferred

·        Overall general company knowledge of products and services: EAS/Video/RFID preferred

·        Self-starter requiring minimal to no guidance/direction on Project Management

·        Strong leadership skills with significant experience including influence management, team building, conflict resolution, negotiation, process redesign, organizational change management, and emotional intelligence across cross-functional teams

·        Ability to manage and direct multiple complex projects simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass customer expectations and deliver project milestones on time and within budget

·        Demonstrated ability to apply formal PMI-based project management principles and techniques to direct, educate and motivate employees

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population.

·        Exceptional problem resolution and process improvement skills.

·        Superior analytical, organizational, decision-making and project management skills

·        Fully versed in administrative and budgetary management functions

·        Sensitivity to the other person’s point of view; to influence behavior or turn a situation around

·        Advanced computer / MS Windows skills, to include software applications such as MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
