What you will be doing:
This role is responsible for completion of clinical mappings of hospital data, performing clinical QAs and maintaining effective relationships with consultants and hospital contacts. The focus of this position is to correctly map hospital data to ensure data integrity of the reporting in a timely manner.
This role also involves being a resource person to assist others with mapping and QA issues.
This position functions primarily in collaboration with consultants and hospital contacts; and receives support from the supervisor and the Clinical group.

QA
Error Mapping, QAs, Support and Research Work – 85%
Code error maps in SPL Mapper and complete QAs skillfully and accurately using clinical data
Perform clinical QAs for different APR-DRGs to ensure accuracy of mappings
Research information using internet sources such as Google, ARUP, etc.
Source problems by drilling down detailed patient billing using AQT or Transform to verify integrity of the data
Resolve errors, omissions, or discrepancies in data through consultant
Collaborate with team members (consultants, hospital contacts, and team leader) regarding mapping, QA problems and solutions
Compose letters to hospital contacts and consultants concerning QA issues
Review error maps of clinical analysts
Clearly articulate information to consultants, hospital contacts, supervisor, etc.
Senior resource – Assists others in mapping & QA issues
Is able to assess a new CDM to assure it meets the specifications needed to successfully load in SPL Mapper
Performs QA in Transform
Has knowledge of and can interpret (e.g., roll-ups, mappings) POL resource consumption reports
Supports operations analysts and consultants by reviewing POL reports with them.
Represents the clinical staff on committees outside the clinical arena
Training New Clinical Analysts: (if no new employees, time goes to above) – 10%
Train new employees as assigned by supervisor
Mentor new employees
Administrative – 5%
Set up meetings with hospital personnel for new installation which includes scheduling, coordinating with appropriate contacts and arranging travel logistics
Attend departmental meetings to remain current on issues and procedures
Record and report work time appropriately (Workday)
