​The General Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing account reconciliations and monthly closing activities related to assigned entities in Stryker’s newly created Costa Rica Shared Service Center and additional support required per ad-hoc request

What you will do:

• Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities.

• Investigate and resolve unsupported balances and IC differences.

• Provide support to business on request related to journal/recon backups.

• Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses.

• Financial Statement analysis.

• Prepare Intercompany journal entries calculations.

• Perform Intercompany month end closing process and any request as necessary.

• Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP.

• Performs other related work to accounting cycle.

What do you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

• 2-3 years of relevant working experience preferably from a Finance background in General Accounting activities: Journal entries processing, Account Reconciliation, Financial Reporting and Analysis, fixed assets, etc.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.)

• English level B2

• SAP knowledge is a big plus

Travel Percentage: 10%
