ABB's Automation Upgrade Segment helps industrial customers modernize their control systems and digital infrastructure, enabling safer, more efficient, and future-ready operations while protecting their existing investments. We focus on delivering upgrades with minimal production interruption, using ABB's specialized migration methods, tools, and execution processes.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Lead large automation upgrade and migration projects for customers from early stages through handover and commissioning.
  • Ensure successful project execution by motivating the team, communicating effectively, and bringing out the best in everyone.
  • Take responsibility for project progress, financial performance, and delivery quality in line with ABB and partner requirements.
  • Apply commercial insight and technical understanding to manage challenges across control and automation system projects.
  • Develop as part of one of Norway’s leading project management environments while applying ABB’s project methodology.

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven track record and experience (minimum 3 year) within project management and/or engineering management.
  • Strong leadership skills with focus on quality and on-time delivery
  • A commercially oriented mindset
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Education in technical fields or project management
  • Proficient language skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
