Are you interested in improving and shaping the delivery of IT projects? We’re seeking a Program Manager who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest electric companies in the U.S., headquartered in the New Jersey area.

The candidate will be working on a project to replace an existing 3rd party work management system that provides work management for field work with meter services and field services and that interfaces with SAP and outage management systems (OMS).

The successful candidate will be required to communicate and collaborate with team members and project staff to plan, develop, and produce high-quality technical communication products in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Location: This position is located in Newark, NJ. Qualified candidate is preferred to be in a commutable distance and able to go into the office as needed. This team typically goes into the office 2+ days a week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of projects within the program to bring to closure.
  • Monitoring risks, issues, dependencies such that they minimize impact across the portfolio.
  • Ensuring the IT projects are aligned with business initiatives of communications and meter mass deployment through steady state deployment.
  • Ensuring legacy application alignment
  • Ensuring coordination of schedule and objectives across business and IT project initiatives and on-going operations.

  • Responsible for Executive reporting and status updates to IT and business Senor Management. Provides an escalation point for project issues and problem resolution

  • Monitoring, approving, and ensuring delivery of project deliverables throughout the lifecycle including, but not limited to:
    • Project Execution Plan
    • Project Schedule
    • Monthly Cost Forecast Review
    • Project Status Reports
    • Test Management Plan
    • Deployment Management Plan
    • Operational Readiness
    • Risk/Issue/Action/Decisions/Dependency Log

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or similar degree with 12+ years of relevant work experience. Mat consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Salesforce knowledge is a must
  • High degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the remainder of the MS Office suite.
  • Solid understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office
  • Technically detailed focused
  • Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Work independently and follows through on assignments with minimal direction while keeping the team informed
  • Possess a mastery of basic/generic data skills (tools & concepts)
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain knowledge in electric utility business is preferable

PMP preferred

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
