An excellent opportunity is available for an Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our Financial Services team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role is responsible for leading Accounts Receivable and works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and in doing so contributes to the strategic and operational performance of the Group. You will be part of the Financial Services team providing efficient and compliant support across RAC with transactional accounting services, financial accounting services, tax support and reporting. This role is based across our Joondalup and West Perth offices.
What will you be doing?
- Overseeing the accurate, efficient and compliant processing of Accounts Receivable.
- Adhering to audit, Tax and RAC’s Corporate responsibilities and requirements.
- Implementing a proactive process of continuous improvement, including investigation and remedy of any significant delivery failures and driving efficiencies in service delivery.
- Supporting and championing yearly internal and external audits for Accounts Receivable processes and procedures.
- Overseeing timely invoicing, customer setup, receipting and customer account reconciliation.
- Managing Aged Debtor reporting and execution of debt collection strategies.
- Organising the Accounts Receivable monthly close off process and organising the overall Credit Control and Debt Collection processes.
- Oversee daily bank receipting across multiple accounts.
- Reviewing of Accounts Receivable monthly Control account reconciliation and reviewing of Aging reports for Accounts Receivable (facilitating action where required).
- Leadership – leading, coaching and developing the team to deliver high quality service.
What are we looking for in you?
- Demonstrated experience in supervision of accounts receivable area within a medium to large organisation or division.
- Working across multiple legal entities and systems.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics F&O with proficiency in MS Office suite of products.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of the principles of effective negotiation.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify issues, think laterally and develop appropriate strategies.
- Leadership skills – experience with leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.
- Accounting or financial experience combined with commercial experience (desirable).
