IT Delivery Manager for Svitzer Technology

We offer

As an IT Delivery Manager in Svitzer, you will become part of the Business Engagement and Delivery team, led by Ana Sedej.

In this role you will oversee applications in the Fleet portfolio (such as Sertica), manage roadmaps and changes, and lead exciting new technology initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with various functions to drive business improvements and ensure seamless operations.

Most of our business is to support container vessels, cargo ships, cruise ships and navy vessels but we also attend to emergencies like vessels being adrift or offshore fires.

Key responsibilities

The role covers four primary areas of responsibility:

  • Application Management: Create and manage application change roadmaps, plan and execute changes and releases.
  • Leadership: Lead projects and initiatives with focus on quality, time, and budget, ensuring risks and issues are managed effectively.
  • Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with business units, vendors, and development teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Governance: Maintain effective communication and documentation, and act as an escalation point for major incidents.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Delivery Manager who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business value.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with proven expertise in managing IT projects and applications. You should be a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.

Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build strong professional relationships will be crucial in this role. We value a proactive approach, where you take ownership of your responsibilities and continuously seek ways to improve processes and deliver outstanding results. The role requires the following experience and capabilities to be successful:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development, different delivery methodologies and application lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in IT delivery and application management skills with the ability to lead development teams
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders and managing their expectations.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve processes.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree.

Nice-to-have includes:

  • Experience with cost controls and creating roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with Fleet management applications like Sertica.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile/Scrum Master.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the maritime or logistics industry.
  • Technical Tools: Familiarity with tools like JIRA, DevOps, and other project management software.
  • Innovation Mindset: Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives.
