About Charm

Our mission is to return the atmosphere to 280 ppm CO₂. We convert excess inedible biomass into carbon-rich bio-oil and inject it into underground storage for permanent carbon removal. At scale we can use bio-oil to make fossil-free iron.

Our carbon removal pathway took off in 2020 with initial purchases from customers like Stripe, Shopify & Microsoft. Since then we’ve scaled to thousands of tons of carbon removal, over a hundred employees, and now have three locations in San Francisco, Colorado, and Kansas. Come join us in 2024 as we aim to become one of the first companies to put 10,000 tons of carbon back underground!

About the Role

As HR continues to transform and evolve, Charm is seeking a People Business Partner who embraces modern practices and prioritizes the employee experience. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced People Business Partner to join our team and serve as both an executional and strategic partner to our regional business leaders. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive full-cycle HR support, drive employee engagement and DEIB initiatives, and ensure compliance with HR policies and federal and local regulations across our locations in Colorado, Kansas, and Louisiana.

Reporting to the Head of People based in California, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to create a supportive work environment that emphasizes employee wellness and fosters a positive company culture. This role is essential in addressing the unique needs and challenges of a diverse workforce, including exempt and non-exempt employees, contractors, and consultants.

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting a diverse workforce. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for our field operators, engineers, and G&A employees across the region. This position is ideal for someone experienced with both exempt and non-exempt 24/7 manufacturing workforces, adept at navigating HR policies and regulations, and skilled in effective communication.
